The AMECO vintage catalogue becomes data in its own right

catalogues the vintages displayed by the European Commission’s official AMECO archive since 2011. The goal is not to accumulate dates: it is to identify which structural-balance estimate was actually available when a fiscal decision was made and then compare it with later revisions.

Why this step is necessary

One metadata anomaly is preserved as-is: the archive page currently displays “3 June 2025” next to an entry labelled “AMECO - Autumn 2025”. Delta-Sierra does not silently correct this contradiction; the date is flagged for source-file verification.

1. Catalogue the vintage

Name, displayed date, official page and verification status.

2. Import the source package

Compute the SHA-256 fingerprint before extraction.

3. Extract only FRA + UBLGAPS

The parser stops if the target series cannot be identified unambiguously.

4. Preserve two time perspectives

The real-time value and the ex-post revised value remain separate fields.
